Kinston joined Cordgrass Capital after graduating from NC State University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, concentrating in Information Technology. He interned with us for a year before joining full-time in January 2023 as a Wealth Management Associate. Kinston earned his CFP® certification in April 2026 after passing the exam and fulfilling all other requirements of the program.
While at NC State, Kinston was active in the Raleigh community, volunteering at Habitat for Humanity of Wake County helping to construct homes and the Food Bank of Central and Eastern North Carolina packing up produce and sorting food donations to be distributed to various organizations.
Kinston is originally from Advance, NC, where he was an active member of Hillsdale United Methodist Church and an athlete playing football, wrestling and running track. In his free time, Kinston enjoys playing golf, fishing, watching sports, traveling, and trying new foods.
